Mail Watch

Mail Watch is a discrete application designed to watch your different mail accounts and warn you when new mail is available. It supports POP3 and IMAP accounts. It offers multiple options to only display what is needed.

Interface

Mail Watch offers two different interfaces: a small menu item at the right of the menubar, or a small floating window listing the different mail accounts. The menu interface displays the number of waiting mails with a nice icon, and in the menu more informations can be displayed. The floating window interface lists the different mail accounts in a table with a different menu for each of the account.

Supported protocols

Mail Watch can check accounts using POP3 and IMAP protocols with authentication. However, Mail Watch doesn't support SSL. You won't be able to use Mail Watch with a gmail account, for instance.

Display options

You can make Mail Watch display different informations, such as the number of mails, the total size of mails, the mail server address or the username for the account.

Mail manager

If you don't want to open your usual mail application to delete unwanted or uninteresting mails, you can use Mail Watch mail manager to delete messages directly on the server, without having to download them.

Customizable notifications

It is possible to customize the notification for new mails by playing a you or executing an AppleScript. This allows you to execute very specific actions when new mail is coming in your mailbox.
